Migrating ReadonlyREST's 1.71 TB build catalog off AWS S3

In progress · 145 versions · 8 years of release history · ~$11 in compute so far

Beshu Tech is migrating its own ReadonlyREST build catalog from AWS S3 (eu-west-1) to Hetzner Object Storage (hel1) via DeltaGlider. The first three verified versions compressed 88.5×, 4.1×, and 3.8×. Sample so far: a 2.8 GB plugin reduced to 32 MB, bit-perfect on SHA-256 round-trip.

Postgres daily-backup deduplication

Planned · Weeks 3-4 of the launch plan

A synthesized scenario: daily Postgres dumps stored as deltas against the previous day. Expected compression range 5-50× depending on workload churn. Reproducible end-to-end with a single Docker compose.

Maven artifact mirror

Planned · Weeks 5-6 of the launch plan

A Maven artifact mirror with thousands of JAR versions per package. Most JARs share 90%+ bytes with adjacent versions (signatures, manifests, embedded CSS). Expected compression range 10-50×.
